Lamb's ear (Stachys byzantina) is a low-growing, evergreen perennial known for its soft, grey leaves. It thrives in moderately fertile, well-drained soil and prefers full sun. Growing up to 50 cm tall, it produces purplish or pink flowers arranged in whorls during summer. This plant is generally not low maintenance, susceptible to slugs and powdery mildews. Propagation can be done by seed or division. It is ideal for the front of borders and attracts various insects.
